“EARTH ON HANDS” expresses the hidden violence of our homes, in the way that Mike Davis denounces the militarisation of social life through security measures. The house dramatizes the relationship that humans establish between their habitat and the world around them. "Everyone knows what the interior is: it is, what is "inside", in the body, in the head, in the house, in the enclosure of a finite space, protected from an unknown, worrying, foreign outside". “TERRITORY 2” is a poetic gap towards another space, between here and the other side. The repetitive gesture that shapes the work proclaims the brutality of attachment to the ground, this way of inhabiting the world by appropriating it, by interiorising it. We only understand space, if we measure ourselves against it.
